Fischer SXRL 10 x 290 FUS – long frame fixing for thick fixtures
Fischer SXRL 10 x 290 FUS is a complete frame fixing system designed for through installation in concrete, masonry and aerated concrete. The 290 mm version provides a particularly large usable length and can accommodate fixtures up to 240 mm thick, depending on the selected anchorage depth.
The pack contains 50 complete fixings: 50 SXRL 10 x 290 mm plugs and 50 matching Ø7.0 x 299 mm screws. The screw features an SW13 hexagonal head, an additional TX40 drive and an integrated washer, and is made from electro-galvanized steel.
Three anchorage depths for the 290 mm version
SXRL 10 x 290 FUS can be installed at nominal anchorage depths of 50, 70 or 90 mm. This allows the fixing configuration to be matched to the substrate and the thickness of the mounted component.
At a 50 mm anchorage depth, the maximum usable length is 240 mm. At 70 mm it is 220 mm, and at 90 mm it is 200 mm. This makes the 290 mm version particularly useful where a thick fixture must be bridged before the fixing reaches the load-bearing substrate.
How does the SXRL plug work?
The plug has two expansion zones. In hollow building materials, they help distribute loads across the substrate without excessively stressing thin internal webs. In aerated concrete and solid building materials, both zones work together as one long expansion section.
Longitudinal ribs help prevent the plug from rotating in the drill hole while the screw is tightened.
Where can SXRL 10 x 290 FUS be used?
The system is suitable for applications including façade, ceiling and roof substructures, metal brackets, wall cladding, windows, gates, doors, beams, cabinets, wall-mounted cupboards, ducts and cable trays.
The European Technical Assessment covers defined applications in substrates including concrete, solid and perforated masonry, calcium silicate units, lightweight concrete blocks, insulating blocks and aerated concrete. Permissible loads and application limits must be selected according to ETA-07/0121.
FUS screw – SW13 and TX40
The FUS version is supplied with a screw featuring a hexagonal head and integrated washer. It can be driven using an SW13 wrench or socket, or through the TX40 recess. This configuration is particularly suitable for fastening metal components.
Through installation
SXRL is designed for through installation. For the 10 x 290 version, a 10 mm drill hole is required. The minimum drill hole depth is 300 mm.

The permissible fixture thickness depends on the selected anchorage depth. For the 290 mm version, the available configurations are 50/240 mm, 70/220 mm and 90/200 mm. Load capacity must be selected according to the specific substrate, fixing spacing, edge distances and loading conditions in accordance with ETA-07/0121.
