Loxeal UV 30-11 adhesive 50 ml, low viscosity, for PC ABS PVC and plexiglass
Description
Loxeal UV 30-11 50 ml is a one-component, low-viscosity adhesive that cures rapidly under UV radiation or visible light of suitable intensity. It has been formulated for bonding PC, ABS and PVC where low stress cracking is required and for forming a flexible, durable plastic film. The adhesive is designed for assembling medical components and is approved for medical use according to ISO 10993.
Advantages and unique features
- Low viscosity of about 250 mPa·s – excellent wetting and capillary flow into narrow gaps.
- Fast curing under UV/visible light – fixture time from approx. 5 to 55 s depending on the substrate.
- Urethane acrylate chemistry – flexible, tough bond line with low tendency to stress cracking.
- Suitable for bonding PC, ABS, PVC, plexiglass and glass, including clear and thin-walled parts.
- Developed for medical device assembly – adhesive evaluated according to ISO 10993.
- Transparent, slightly yellow bond line with high optical clarity (refractive index around 1.473).
- Bonded parts can be sterilised by standard ETO and gamma radiation processes.
Properties and applications
- Bonding of engineering plastics: designed for joining PC, ABS and PVC parts, especially transparent or thin components.
- Low-stress joints: the adhesive helps to minimise stress cracking in sensitive plastic parts.
- Foils and thin sections: low viscosity allows an even, very thin adhesive layer without air entrapment.
- Medical components: suitable for assembling components used in medical devices in line with ISO 10993 requirements.
- Typical substrates: PC/PC, PC/ABS, rigid and flexible PVC, plexiglass/plexiglass, glass/glass.
- Controlled curing process: polymerisation time depends on lamp power and wavelength, bondline thickness and light transmission of the substrates.

Storage recommendations
Store UV 30-11 in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding +25 °C, away from heat sources and UV light. Keep the container tightly closed and do not pour used adhesive back into the bottle to avoid contamination and premature polymerisation. Protect from daylight and high-intensity artificial light and keep out of reach of children.
FAQ
What type of light should be used to cure Loxeal UV 30-11?
For best performance use a UV or UV/LED lamp emitting between 365 and 420 nm with an intensity of about 100 mW/cm². Exposure time must be adapted to bondline thickness and substrate transparency.
Is the adhesive suitable for clear parts?
Yes, it produces a transparent, slightly yellow bond line with high optical clarity, making it suitable for bonding PC, plexiglass and glass.
For which medical applications can this adhesive be used?
The product has been developed for medical component assembly and is evaluated according to ISO 10993. However, each final device must be validated by the manufacturer to meet the specific regulatory requirements.
How should surfaces be prepared before bonding?
Clean parts thoroughly to remove contamination and old coatings, then degrease with a cleaner suitable for the substrate (metal, plastic, glass). Surfaces must be dry before applying the adhesive.
Can bonded parts be sterilised?
Yes, according to the manufacturer UV 30-11 withstands standard ETO and gamma sterilisation processes, but validation on the final component is recommended before serial production.
