Loxeal 30-22 UV adhesive for glass and metal 50 ml, high-viscosity acrylic structural adhesive, clear bond line, fast UV curing
Description
Loxeal 30-22 is a single-component, high-viscosity UV adhesive designed for structural bonding of glass to glass and glass to metal and other hard substrates. When exposed to UV radiation the adhesive polymerises in the joint gap, creating a very thin, highly durable and transparent bond line. It is an excellent choice wherever a clean bonding line, short curing time and high mechanical strength are required.
Advantages and unique features
- High-strength structural adhesive for glass and metal – tensile strength 8–12 N/mm².
- Very thin, clear bond line with light transmission > 98 % and refractive index around 1.49.
- Short gel time – approximately 6–10 seconds with a suitable UV source.
- High viscosity (5500–7500 mPa·s at 25 °C) helps fill gaps without the adhesive running.
- Gap-filling capability from 0.03 to 2 mm, allowing compensation of minor assembly tolerances.
- Solvent-free, one-component product ready to use and easy to dispense, also in automated systems.
- Excellent chemical resistance, impact and vibration resistance and stable properties over a wide temperature range.
Properties and applications
- Glass-to-glass bonding: produces aesthetic, transparent joints in applications where the adhesive remains visible, such as edge joints and glass panels.
- Glass-to-metal bonding: intended for durable fixing of metal components to glass, provided that UV light can reach the bond line.
- Joints with very thin bond lines: ideal wherever minimum bond thickness, high strength and a clean appearance of the joint are critical.
- Joints exposed to mechanical loads: cured bonds retain their properties between -55 and +120 °C and are resistant to shocks and vibrations.
- Industrial use: the adhesive can be dispensed manually or by automated dispensing equipment.
- Application limitations: the product is not recommended for most thermoplastic plastics due to the risk of stress cracking and poor adhesion; dedicated UV adhesives should be used for plastics.

Storage recommendations
Store UV 30-22 in a tightly closed, original container in a cool, dark place at +8 to +28 °C. Protect it from direct sunlight, UV radiation and high temperatures to avoid premature polymerisation. After use, clean the bottle neck and close it immediately. Keep away from children and foodstuffs.
FAQ
What is Loxeal 30-22 used for?
It is a high-viscosity UV adhesive mainly intended for bonding glass to glass and glass to metal and other hard materials in applications that require a very thin, strong and transparent bond line.
What UV light and curing time are recommended?
High-performance UV lamps with wavelengths between 365 and 420 nm and an intensity of about 100 mW/cm² are recommended. Typical fixture time at 365 nm is around 6–10 seconds, while full strength is achieved after approximately 12 hours.
Can this adhesive be used on plastics?
The manufacturer does not recommend using 30-22 on most thermoplastic plastics because of the risk of stress cracking and insufficient adhesion. Dedicated UV adhesives suitable for the specific plastic should be selected instead.
What gap size is suitable for this adhesive?
The product cures reliably in gaps from 0.03 to 2 mm. Excessive gap width or poor UV access to the bond line can significantly reduce joint strength.
What service temperature range can the bond withstand?
When correctly applied and fully cured, the bond retains its mechanical properties in the temperature range of approximately -55 to +120 °C.
