Product description
Molykote 7400
Molykote 7400 is a water-based, room temperature curing anti-friction coating designed for the lubrication of metal surfaces under high load conditions. The product is characterized by a low coefficient of friction and high load-bearing capacity, making it an ideal solution for applications where long-term lubrication and wear protection are required.
Application
- Sliding coating for metal/metal connections with slow to moderately fast movements and high loads
- Improving the running-in process of gears, plain bearings and sliding guides
- Long-term lubrication of highly loaded friction joints at low speeds or oscillating movements
- Lubrication where the use of oil or grease is not recommended due to the risk of contamination
- Running-in of automotive transmission shafts, lubrication of threads of car seat adjustment mechanisms, cold working of steel
Properties
- Safe to use - does not contain flammable substances solvents
- High load-bearing capacity
- Low friction coefficient
- PTFE and PFAS-free
