Molykote D-7409

Molykote D-7409 is a high-performance Anti-Friction Coating designed for use in applications requiring excellent wear protection, corrosion protection and high load-bearing capacity. This product is cured at high temperature and forms a dry lubrication film that provides long-term lubrication under difficult operating conditions, such as high temperatures and low sliding speeds.

Applications

Lubrication of metal/metal combinations in applications with low sliding speeds and high loads
Protection of components exposed to friction at high temperatures
Use in pistons and tappets of internal combustion engines, magnetic armatures of car starters and components of car hood locks
Use where oils and greases cannot be used

Storage and use recommendations

Store in original sealed container, at a temperature of 5°C to 23°C
Shelf life is 36 months from the date of production
Surfaces to be coated should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased
Before use, mix the product thoroughly, apply evenly by spraying, immersion, centrifugal or brushing
Typical curing conditions: 30 minutes at 220°C
