Loxeal Silicone Grease No. 9 1 kg, colourless NSF H1 silicone lubricant for metals, plastics and rubber, hydrophobic and dielectric
Description
LOXEAL SILICONE GREASE No. 9 1 kg is a synthetic silicone lubricant designed for combinations of metals, plastics and rubber, preventing seizure and corrosion in equipment operating under light to medium loads. Owing to its strong hydrophobicity it protects components against water and moisture, while being physiologically inert and suitable for incidental food contact (NSF H1 approved).
Benefits and unique features
- Synthetic silicone grease with a very wide range of industrial and maintenance applications.
- Physiologically inert, odourless and tasteless – approved for incidental contact with food (NSF H1).
- Electrically insulating – does not conduct current and provides good dielectric properties.
- Strongly hydrophobic – resistant to wash-off from surfaces immersed in water, including salt water.
- Does not support mould and fungus growth even at elevated temperature and humidity.
- Stable viscosity over a wide temperature range thanks to the synthetic base oil.
- Resistant to water, mineral and vegetable oils, solutions of acids, alkalis and salts.
- Service temperature range from -40 °C to +200 °C – suitable for both refrigeration and warm zones.
Properties and applications
- Food industry: lubrication and protection of machine parts in contact with food – conveyors, guides, bearings in packaging lines, equipment in cold rooms.
- Precision mechanisms: lubrication of fine mechanisms, laboratory equipment and measuring instruments.
- Rubber and plastics: lubrication of silent blocks, rubber and plastic seals and elastomer components in pneumatic systems.
- Brake systems: protection and lubrication of pistons and cylinders in braking systems.
- Technical installations: improving heat sink contact, protecting battery terminals and high-voltage cables.
- Electrotechnics: protection of electrical contacts, terminals, connectors and switches against moisture and corrosion.
- Valves and pneumatics: lubrication of valves, fittings and pneumatic equipment.
- Domestic appliances and industrial equipment: maintenance and lubrication of components requiring long-term protection against moisture and water.

Storage recommendations
Store LOXEAL Grease No. 9 in its original tightly closed container in a dry, cool place away from sources of heat and open flames. Avoid contamination of the product and contact with strong oxidising agents. Keep out of the reach of children and follow the instructions given in the safety data sheet.
FAQ
What is LOXEAL Silicone Grease No. 9 used for?
It is a universal silicone lubricant for precision mechanisms, rubber and plastic parts, electrical contacts, valves, domestic appliances and machines in the food industry where a non-toxic, hydrophobic lubricant is required.
Is LOXEAL No. 9 suitable for food contact?
Yes, the grease is NSF H1 registered, which means it is suitable for incidental contact with food during operation of equipment.
What is the operating temperature range?
The grease maintains its lubricating properties from -40 °C to +200 °C, making it suitable for both cold-store and high-temperature applications.
Does the grease conduct electricity?
No, LOXEAL No. 9 is electrically insulating and therefore suitable for protecting contacts, connectors and high-voltage cables.
How can silicone grease be removed from surfaces?
Residual grease can be effectively removed using PULSAR EKO cleaner or other recommended organic solvents; prior to bonding or painting, surfaces must be thoroughly degreased.
