Fischer FPX M12-I – aerated concrete anchor with M12 internal thread

Fischer FPX M12-I is a mechanical steel anchor designed for fastening in autoclaved aerated concrete. The M12 version provides an internal thread for use with a suitably selected M12 threaded element and is intended for applications where this connection size is required.

During installation, the anchor expands in four directions and creates an undercut in the aerated concrete. The square expansion sleeve helps prevent the anchor from rotating in the drill hole, while the installation mechanism allows controlled expansion of the fixing.

FPX M12-I – when is an M12 thread required?

This version should be selected when the fixture or connection design requires an M12 internal thread. For FPX M12-I, the manufacturer specifies a minimum insertion depth of 12 mm and a maximum insertion depth of 15 mm for the M12 threaded element. This allows the mating component to be selected according to the geometry of the specific fixing.

Applications in aerated concrete

The FPX-I system is designed for fastening in aerated concrete and can be used, among other applications, for suspended ceilings, cable trays, pipes, ventilation ducts, railings and handrails, brackets, cabinets and stand-off installations.

The scope of the European Technical Assessment covers aerated concrete within the parameters defined in ETA-12/0456, including wall and ceiling elements made of autoclaved aerated concrete. For safety-relevant fixings, the exact approval scope and load tables should always be checked.

How is FPX M12-I installed?
