Fischer DuoXpand 10 x 200 FUS – long frame fixing with hexagonal-head screw
Fischer DuoXpand 10 x 200 FUS is a complete frame fixing designed for through installation in concrete, masonry and other substrates covered by the system documentation. The 200 mm version is intended for fastening thicker fixtures and provides a maximum usable length of up to 150 mm at the minimum specified anchorage depth.
The pack contains 50 complete, pre-assembled fixings. Each fixing consists of one Fischer DuoXpand 10 x 200 mm plug and one matching FUS screw Ø7.0 x 209 mm with an integrated washer. The screw is made of electro-galvanized steel and features an SW13 hexagonal head with a TX40 recess.
200 mm version – for thicker fixtures
DuoXpand 10 x 200 FUS can be used in several installation configurations. At a nominal anchorage depth of 50 mm, the maximum fixture thickness is 150 mm. At 70 mm anchorage depth it is 130 mm, at 140 mm it is 60 mm, and at 160 mm it is 40 mm.
This allows one fixing length to be selected either for thicker fixtures or for applications requiring a greater anchorage depth in the substrate.
Two-component DuoXpand design
The plug combines two materials with a specially designed expansion geometry. The main body provides mechanical stability, while the more flexible component supports controlled expansion in the substrate.
In solid materials, the plug expands evenly. In hollow masonry, its geometry helps create a secure fixing while reducing stress on thin internal webs.
Applications of DuoXpand 10 x 200 FUS
The system can be used for applications including façade, roof and ceiling substructures, windows, doors, gates, beams, metal brackets, cabinets, wall-mounted cupboards, ducts and cable trays.
ETA-21/0324 covers defined applications of the system in concrete and masonry. The manufacturer also specifies aerated concrete and other approved building materials. ETA-22/0186 additionally covers defined seismic applications of DuoXpand 10.
FUS screw – TX40 and SW13
The FUS version is supplied with a screw featuring an SW13 hexagonal head and integrated washer. The screw can be driven using an SW13 wrench or socket, or through the TX40 recess in the head. This configuration is particularly practical when fastening metal components.
Through installation
DuoXpand 10 x 200 FUS is designed for through installation. A 10 mm drill hole is required, and the minimum drill hole depth is 210 mm.
