Mobil Vactra No.4 - High-quality oil for sliding guides, specially designed to meet the most stringent requirements of modern machine tools, in terms of accuracy, separation of coolants and protection of the equipment in operation.
The Vactra range of oils is based on rigorously selected, high quality base stocks and selected advanced additives which together provide fine friction control, compatibility with water based cutting fluids, corrosion and rust protection. The friction properties allow for smooth operation between a wide range of friction materials, such as steel and steel, steel and polymers. This reduces the effect of "stick-slip" vibrations and surface corrugations. This ensures smooth movement of the sliding surfaces, greater accuracy of machined surfaces, thus increasing the accuracy of the machine and increasing the service life of machines and tools. Applications
It is recommended to lubricate guide systems in machine tools. They are designed to lubricate combinations of cast iron, steel and non-metallic sliding materials. The oil can be applied by hand, with pressurized lubricators or in a free-circulation oil system.
• No. 1 and No. 2 is recommended for horizontal slides in small and medium machines. They are also suitable for use in circulating systems in large machines and as hydraulic oil in machine tools operating under moderate loads.
• No. 3 and No. 4 usually recommended for large machines with high guideway pressures and where high precision is required. They are also recommended for vertical and inclined guides, where oil draining may be difficult, for gear mechanisms in machine tools operating under moderate loads.
