Properties
An adhesive that both immobilizes gaskets during assembly and prolongs their service life. Especially recommended when installing gaskets under the head, where by filling the micro-uniformity of the gasket, block and head, it significantly increases its resistance to "blowing". Specificity even necessary in strained turbocharged units and for custom gaskets. Often used in motorsports. The method of application by spraying excludes the effect of "flowing" of glue during assembly. It can be used for rubber, cork, paper and metal gaskets.
A viscous, liquid adhesive/sealant based on synthetic resin aerosol that drys quickly to form a highly viscous layer.

Use
Loctite 3020 gasket adhesive is used to hold pre-cut gaskets in place during assembly, which translates into better sealing. This product is recommended for use on all types of pre-cut gaskets, e.g. when sealing a gearbox or installing a head gasket, clutch assembly and differential seal. Suitable for gaskets made of rubber, cork, paper, metal or asbestos.
Instructions for use
- Clean and dry the surfaces of flanges and gaskets. Use the right cleaner
e.g. Loctite 7063 - Spray an even layer of LOCTITE 3020 from a distance of about 15 to 20 cm onto the flange surface. Both elements.
- Before installation, wait about 10 minutes for drying.
- Excess product can be removed with a suitable cleaner such as Loctite 7063.
Storage
Unless there are other indications on the product label, the ideal way to store it will be to leave it in closed containers in a cool and dry room. Optimum storage temperature: +8°C to +21°C. Storage below +8°C or above +28°C can irreversibly change the properties of the product.
