CYBERBOND CB-RM88 50 g — anaerobic retaining compound for bearings and coaxial parts
Description
Applications
CYBERBOND CB-RM88 is a single-component anaerobic retaining adhesive for mounting and securing bearings, bushings/sleeves, gears, rings and rotors on shafts and in housings. It fills clearance, increases load capacity of the fit and prevents micro-movement and fretting corrosion.
How it works
The adhesive cures anaerobically (in the absence of air) when confined between metal surfaces. After cure it forms a tough, uniform bond with high shear strength and very good chemical and temperature resistance.
Key benefits
• High strength connection; vibration and shock resistance
• Joint sealing — protection against leakage and corrosion
• Single component — no mixing; precise application
• Fast fixture on active metals; suitable for MRO and OEM use
Technical parameters
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Product type | Anaerobic retainer for coaxial/cylindrical parts |

| Substrates | Carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel (slower cure), non-ferrous metals |
| Colour / pack size | Green / 50 g |
| Strength class | High (serviceable, heat required for disassembly) |
| Service profile | Resistance to vibration, micro-movement and leakage |
| Intended users | Professional / industrial (MRO & production) |
Directions for use
Clean and degrease mating surfaces. Apply to the shaft and/or housing, assemble parts and hold until initial fixture. For looser fits use a generous bead; for passive metals use an activator/primer. Full performance after complete cure.
Storage
Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Use before the expiry date on the label.
Safety
Use according to the label and SDS. Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; seek medical advice if needed. Dispose of residues and empty packaging in accordance with local regulations.
FAQ
What is CB-RM88 for? Retaining bearings and other coaxial/cylindrical parts; sealing cylindrical joints.
Is disassembly possible? Yes — typically after heating and/or using pullers; depends on fit and geometry.
Which metals? Carbon steels, cast iron, stainless steel (slower cure) and non-ferrous alloys; perform an adhesion test when in doubt.
