Description

SikaGard-6440 black 1 L is a spray-applied, thixotropic rubber-based underbody coating designed to protect vehicle chassis and wheel arches from stone chipping, corrosion and noise. It forms a durable, flexible, paintable texture.

Storage Recommendations

Store in a dry place at +5 to +25 °C, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed.

Instructions for Use

  1. Clean, degrease and dry all surfaces, remove rust, dust and oil.
  2. Shake container approximately 40 times before use.
  3. Spray with an airless gun (3–6 bar) from ~25 cm in a cross-hatch pattern.
  4. For thicker builds, allow each coat to dry before re-spraying.
  5. Mask off brakes, exhaust and engine parts.
  6. Remove uncured material with Sika Remover-208; cured film only mechanically.
  7. Clean tools and skin with Sika Cleaner-350H and water.
