TESA 4964, double-sided cloth tape 390 µm, white, 50 m × 30 mm, for carpets, fabric splicing and lining lamination
Description
TESA 4964 is a double-sided cloth tape, 390 µm thick, white, sized 50 m × 30 mm. Its high coat-weight natural-rubber adhesive provides very good initial tack and conformability on irregular surfaces. In many cases, the tape can be removed from stable substrates without residue. A trial is recommended before use on plasticised substrates (e.g., PVC).
Benefits and unique features
- High adhesive mass – secure bonding on uneven substrates
- Very good initial tack for fast installation
- Clean removal from stable surfaces in many cases
- Short-term temperature resistance up to 110 °C
- Flexible, tear-resistant fabric carrier
- 50% biogenic carbon content (product without liner)
- Good plasticiser resistance
Properties and applications
- Splicing fabric webs: durable splicing and quick repairs in technical textiles.
- Carpet fixing: fast, clean and strong installation.
- Laminating linings and heel pads: footwear and leathercraft applications.
- Irregular surfaces: the thick adhesive layer fills surface roughness.

Storage recommendations
Store in a clean, dry place, away from UV and heat sources, in the original packaging. Ensure the substrate is clean and degreased before application; for plasticised substrates (PVC) perform an adhesion test.
FAQ
1) Can the tape be removed without residue?
In many cases, yes – it can be removed from stable surfaces without adhesive residue.
2) Will it work on irregular surfaces?
Yes, the high coat weight helps fill surface irregularities.
3) What temperature can it withstand?
Short-term resistance up to 110 °C.
4) Is it suitable for plasticised PVC?
A prior test is recommended.
5) Typical applications?
Splicing fabric webs, carpet fixing, and laminating linings and heel pads.
